DaBaby Speaks on Claims He Scammed YouTuber Out of $20K

Things don’t look too good when it comes to the working relationship between rapper DaBaby and popular YouTuber Lah Mike. I’ll explain.

Lah Mike, most notably known for his 20 women vs. 1 celebrity dating videos, recently made claims that the “Bop” rapper ran off with $20,000 without completing a full a episode. In a post to Instagram on Monday, La Mike aired out Da Baby telling his fans and followers what allegedly happened but ultimately pleading with the rapper to come back and finish filming.

“@dababy ran off with $20K I paid him for a video. I did everything I was supposed to do please don’t scam me bro this is my livelihood. This was supposed to be my blow up video. My way out. How I’m posed to make it out if I lose all my videos?? “ he wrote.

He continued:

“I’m 19 bru please God why does everything have to go bad. I don’t even have a full video. I spent my last on that & this happens?? Why me God what did I do? @dababy please don’t run off wit my bag please. I’ll fix whatever you need bro that was my last. This my dream. I was working towards this just for it to be taken away from me again. Please come finish the video. Please don’t scam me bro. I support u bro please don’t fuck over me bro I play all your music. However, it doesn’t look like Lah Mike’s version of events told the whole truth. Not too long after his video, the “Suge” rapper posted his own since-deleted video explaining how he did walk off in an attempt to keep his temper in check. In a video posted by Lah Mike, you can see the rapper leaving somewhat frustrated by the actions of some of the folks on set of the video.

“I ain’t run off n***a, I walked off,” DaBaby said. “You know why too n***a. Be glad that’s the way it went & tighten up.”

He went on to speak his peace, calling the social media star “a sick little dude” for implying that half of the money he gave to DaBaby came from his great-grandmother who’s allegedly currently battling cancer. He also put forth his own resolve to the situation, sharing that he would be splitting the money between the 20 women who were a part of the show.

“People probably believe in this twenty-versus-one shit, like this shit is for real, like you don’t be paying these girls to do this. You got people playing with my name, like I came and just robbed you,” he said in the video, per HipHopDX.

“Check this, this what we gonna do—I’m gonna take the $20,000 that you gave me for my time, for that hour plus I spent in there. And I’m gonna give $1,000 a piece to them 20 girls that you paid to let a lame nigga like you disrespect them, for that little YouTube check.”
