First period
No scoring.
Second period
Omaha 1, UND 0 — Kevin Conley (Brandon Scanlin, Taylor Ward) 4:31 (pp). Omaha converts just six seconds into a power play as Ward wins the faceoff clean back to Scanlin, who moves the puck to Conley on top of the right circle. Conley blasts a one-timer past Thome for his ninth goal of the season.
Omaha 2, UND 0 — Chayse Primeau (Jason Smallidge) 4:45. The Mavericks tack on another goal just 14 seconds later. Smallidge has the puck at the point and sends a shot toward the net. It hits the skate of defenseman Matt Kiersted, who doesn’t see where the puck landed. Primeau picks it up and snaps it past Thome’s stick for his ninth of the season.
Omaha 2, UND 1 — Jackson Keane (Louis Jamernik, Harrison Blaisdell) 14:01. Keane enters the zone on a rush and attempts to dangle an Omaha defender. He loses the puck, which heads toward the end line, but Jamernik makes a great play to split the defenders and get to the loose puck. He dives to swat a puck on net, Saville leaves a rebound and Keane crashes the net to bury it.

Third period
Omaha 2, UND 2 — Jordan Kawaguchi (Collin Adams, Jasper Weatherby) :15. UND makes a line change to start the third and it pays off right away. Weatherby picks up a puck behind the net and powers it to the crease. Adams follows it up with a shot that deflects high in the air. Kawaguchi, on the back side of the crease, knocks it in out of the air to tie the game.

Overtime
Omaha 3, UND 2 — Taylor Ward (Brandon Scanlin) 1:17 (pp). Omaha gets a power play in overtime and converts when Scanlin’s point shot is headed wide, but Ward makes a brilliant re-direct out of mid-air to hand UND its first loss at home this season and its second in the last 28 games (26-2).

Pregame notes
It is Senior Night for Jordan Kawaguchi, Grant Mismash, Collin Adams, Jackson Keane, Matt Kiersted, Gabe Bast, Josh Rieger and Peter Thome. All of them are in the lineup except Mismash, who continues to be sidelined with an injury. He’s missing his fifth-straight game. He hasn’t played since Feb. 12 against Denver. . . Thome is starting in net. . . Jasper Weatherby takes a seven-game goal streak into the game. If he scores tonight, he will tie the fifth-longest goal streak in UND hockey history. . . UND’s Bast and Omaha’s Noah Prokop, who both served one-game suspensions last week for a fighting disqualification two weeks ago, are both back in the lineup tonight.
