2021 VW ID.4 Reservation Site Crashes, 1st Edition Is Sold Out In The U.S.

The unveiling of the Volkswagen ID.4 yesterday sparked so much interest in the electric SUV that the official reservations website in the United States crashed.

The automaker apologized on social media, coming back with another tweet two hours later announcing that they’re online again for those who wish to secure a build slot for a refundable $100 fee.

In the meantime, the ID.4 1st Edition, which is the first model that will launch early next year with standard Statement and Gradient packages, special visual accents, 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, illuminated grille and panoramic fixed glass roof, has already sold out.
