US election 2020 latest news: Trump evacuates press briefing due to ‘armed suspect’ outside the White House

DONALD Trump was rushed from his press briefing as the Secret Service shot an “armed suspect.”

He was evacuated from the briefing room in just minutes into his conference on Monday afternoon.

When he returned, the president told reporters someone had been shot outside The White House but everything was under control. 

Meanwhile, Trump is behind Biden in key states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin by six points in each, according to a new CBS News poll

Following primaries, polling, virtual press conferences and a pandemic, the 2020 presidential election is almost here.
