Remember that feeling of coming home, dropping your bag, and losing yourself in a world that felt completely yours? That’s what Quarry Town is built for — and this update is all about making that world feel more like *your* world.
We’ve been heads-down since our last release, and v0.2.3 brings one of the biggest quality-of-life passes yet. Here’s everything that’s new.
Say Goodbye to Alan
For as long as Quarry Town has existed, every player has been Alan. Not anymore.
This update introduces full character creation — pick from 4 skin tones, 4 eye types, 4 hairstyles, and 4 outfits to build a character that actually feels like yours. It’s a small change on paper, but it’s one of the most requested features since Early Access launched, and we’re excited to finally deliver it.
Multisave — No More Single-File Anxiety
You can now run multiple save slots instead of being locked into one file. Existing saves are migrated automatically, so nothing is lost — but with the new character creator in place, we’d honestly encourage most players to start fresh and build a character that’s truly theirs.
Now Speaking Spanish and Korean
Quarry Town now supports Spanish and Korean, alongside English. This has been a big ask from our growing international community, and we’re glad to bring more players into town in their own language.
Translation is an ongoing process — if you spot an error or awkward phrasing, please report it. More languages are on the way.
A Shop UI That Actually Tells You Things
The shop got a full UI overhaul. You can now see exactly how many coins an item will sell for *before* you sell it, along with clear tool and consumable stats. No more guessing what something’s worth or does — the information you need is right there.
Tutorials for New Miners
New players now get guided tutorials that walk through the core loop — mining, selling, upgrading, and settling in. Whether you’re a longtime cozy-game fan or brand new to the genre, you should have a much smoother start now.
Mining License Price Rebalance
To keep progression feeling fair as the game grows, mining license prices have been adjusted:
Forest: 500 coins
Beach: 1,000 coins
Quarry: 1,500 coins
Plus: Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
A round of general bug fixes and stability work is baked into this update as well, based on player reports and our own internal testing. Thank you to everyone who’s flagged issues — keep it coming.
Your town is waiting. Update now and let us know what you think.
