AOC’s Dating Conservatives Remarks Prompt Gross Response On Fox News
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) explained Tuesday why she most likely wouldn’t date a conservative, prompting a decidedly snarky response on Fox News.
TMZ’s Charlie Cotton asked Ocasio-Cortez, who revealed this summer that she is now single and has drawn criticism from the political right over her decision to freeze her eggs, whether she would “ever date a conservative” or if it was something she would “ever entertain.”

The lawmaker initially burst out laughing.
“I have to say it’s probably not,” Ocasio-Cortez replied, before chuckling again.
“Don’t date across the aisle?” Cotton asked.
“It’s not to… no foul to people who do,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “And of course, how you define that is very different from person to person, right? But I think a lot of politics sometimes, at least for me, is about values, and being aligned in values I think is tremendously important.”

The comments prompted a snarky response on Jesse Watters’ primetime Fox News show.
“Girl, no conservative would want to date you,” Fox host Julie Banderas said during the “Watters’ Cooler” segment.

“You are not untapping a mystery here,” she continued. “I mean, first of all, she broke up, she froze her eggs, she’s eventually going to put them in and maybe some brave soul will stand up and be the father of those poor little children. But, like, why would a conservative ever want to marry her?”
Watters pointed out, “Well, we didn’t say ‘marry.’ Just date.”
Banderas replied, “Well, I know, but at her age, she’s gonna wanna eventually want to have a husband, I think.”
The hosts then discussed Ocasio-Cortez’s age, with Watters, with faux concern, noting that “we’re not really allowed to talk about a woman’s age.”

Watters added about the lawmaker, “Only available to liberals.”
