Pistons roar past Grizzlies with monster game by Jalen Duren
Detroit — The Detroit Pistons continue to prove why their four-game losing streak may have helped them in the long run.
The Pistons won their third consecutive game on Friday night, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 126-110 at Little Caesars Arena.

Despite being questionable for the game due to right knee soreness, Jalen Duren had one of his best performances of the season, finishing with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Duren’s performance coincided with Cade Cunningham’s pass-first mentality, as he finished with 17 points and 15 assists.

Marcus Sasser led the team in 3-point shooting with four made triples, to go along with 16 points. The Pistons finished the night shooting 12 of 34 from deep (35.3%). Duncan Robinson added 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field, to go along with two 3-pointers.

Ty Jerome led the Grizzlies with 21 points. The Grizzlies were without Ja Morant, as the two-time All-Star has been out since mid-January due to a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.
The Pistons’ third straight win followed the four-game skid, longest of the season. But since righting the ship, the Pistons have maintained that the losing streak helped them identify and correct mistakes.
