Cook is a 26-year old, 6-foot-6, athletic guard who has played in 19 games for the Trail Blazers at the NBA level this season.
In that time, he has averaged just 1.2 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.
This is Cook’s first season playing at all int he NBA after a journeyman college career that included South Carolina-Aiken, Mars Hill and Winston-Salem State.
Cook has been a star at the G League level for the Rip City Remix, which is Portland’s affiliate.

In the G League, Cook is putting up 22.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
He most recently suited up for the Blazers on Sunday night in a blowout loss to the Hawks, seeing the court for four minutes and missing all three shots he attempted.
Cook’s G League numbers mean he’ll continue to get opportunities at that level going forward, and if he keeps performing like that in the second division, he’ll have a chance to get another NBA team interested at some point.
For now, though, he’s going to have to keep grinding his way through the lower levels of hoops, just like he did in college to reach this point at all.
