Former Bengals star expected to be cut after injury, surgery
Joe Mixon remains one of the most interesting Cincinnati Bengals players right now.
Last month, a report suggested Mixon’s career was “in doubt” due to a nagging foot injury that held him out of the 2025 season with the Houston Texans.

According to Texans general manager Nick Caserio, Mixon had surgery on his foot at the end of the year.
Around the same time, KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson reported that the Texans are expected to release Mixon this offseason.

Mixon, who turns 30 over the summer, isn’t likely to be on the Bengals’ radar, should he continue his career. They have Chase Brown and Samaje Perine already, plus sophomore Tahj Brooks, before any other additions in free agency or the draft.
