Bayern Munich taking all steps to ensure Eintracht Frankfurt match will be played
According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that its Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, including some high tech tactics to ward off the cold weather and snow:
Bayern are implementing several measures so that tomorrow’s game against Frankfurt can take place as planned following this week’s heavy snowfall in Munich. Significant snowfall is not expected during the game tomorrow – but several teams will be working simultaneously to remove the existing snow and any more expected. The groundskeepers will clear the pitch, while the under-soil heating system will melt the remaining snow. In addition, the entire pitch will be illuminated with high-tech grow lights. These lights not only provide the grass with red and blue light for improved growth, but also allow for precise temperature control. Climbers are clearing the snow on the Allianz Arena roof. In addition, 50 external helpers will be there on match day in case further clearing work is needed. The game is expected to kick off in time tomorrow.
As of now, it seems like everything will be a “go”…hopefully all of the extra steps pay dividends.
