Auburn doubled its 2-0 lead in the 8th inning with an RBI single by Eric Guevara and a sacrifice fly by Lucas Steele to extend their lead to 4-0. Bristol Carter added an insurance run at the top of the 9th with a groundout to score Ethin Bingaman. The five-run output complemented Jake Marciano’s solid start on the mound, where he struck out eight batters and allowed just two hits in six complete innings.

Florida State (4-0) opened its stay in Arlington by defeating Michigan on Friday, 6-1. Gabe Frazier and Jace Estes each logged three hits in the game, while Brayden Dowd joined Estes by recording two RBI. Wes Mendes struck out seven batters in 5 1/3 innings on the mound.
