Is Sam Darnold playing today in Seahawks' playoff game vs. 49ers?
It was the injury update Seattle Seahawks definitely didn’t want to see: After the team had a bye week in the NFL playoffs, QB Sam Darnold popped up on the injury report on Thursday with an oblique injury.
You never want to see a midweek practice injury like that to your QB, and he’s listed as questionable for Saturday’s Divisional playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.

So: Will he play or will we see backup Drew Lock starting?
We don’t know for sure, but Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald was “optimistic” that Darnold would play, thought they’ll test that out on Saturday.
Here’s some of what Mike Macdonald said today about Sam Darnold’s oblique injury. It has him listed as questionable for the Seahawks’ playoff game tomorrow vs. the 49ers, but the QB said yesterday he has next to no doubt he’s playing.
