We’d like you, the reader, to survey finalists for lohud Wrestler of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital, and cast your vote. The athletes’ credentials are listed above the fan poll, which will be open until 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. The winner will be announced on social media.

Lohud Athlete of the Week polls are presented by White Plains Hospital.
Devin Bierfeldt, Nyack
The junior placed seventh from the No 10 seed at 190 pounds at the Eastern States Classic in Clifton Park, going 5-2. Bierfeldt defeated fifth-seeded Noah Leavell of Hamburg in the consolation rounds and seventh-seeded Aiden Brito of Riverdale-Kingsbridge Academy in Round of 16.
George Johnson, Iona Prep
The senior won the 157-pound title as the third seed at the Eastern States Classic, going 5-0 and winning all his bouts by pinfall, technical fall or major decision.

Max Laskowski, Horace Greeley
The junior won the 215-pound title at the Hendrick Hudson Sailor Classic, going 4-0 and beating Mount Vernon’s Caiden Hylton in the championship match. Laskowski did not surrender a takedown in the tournament.
Marcarlo Mannello, BBHVW
The undefeated eighth-grader won the 103-pound title as the top seed at the Eastern States Classic, going 6-0 with three pins, two technical falls and a decision. He went 7-0 for the week, also winning a bout against Rye.
Emily Rodriguez, Nyack
The senior won the 185-pound title as the top seed at the Eastern States Classic, going 3-0 with a 1:32 pinfall win over Putnam Valley’s Delina Gritz in the final. Rodriguez was state champion and Section 1 champion at 185 in 2025.

Jamaal Wells, Mount Vernon
The senior won the 138-pound title at the Hendrick Hudson Sailor Classic, going 4-0 with a pin and three technical falls. For the last week, Wells was 5-0.
