Trump Wrings Laughs Out Of Somali Hate At Congressional Ball
Bigotry was served Thursday at the White House Congressional Ball, with President Donald Trump leading the way.
Trump used the festive occasion to involve Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) in another taunt at Somalis after the president’s hate-filled rally earlier this week.
“Tom is very friendly with the Somalians, you know, he’s doing a great job,” Trump said sarcastically to laughter. “He’s a big fan. He’s a big fan of Somalia.”
Seemingly looking toward Emmer, Trump added, “He said, ‘Please correct that.’”
Then someone yelled out, “Send them home! Send them home!”
“Thank you, Tom, very much,” Trump said.
“Why is it we only take people from shithole countries, right?” Trump said. “Why can’t we have some people from Norway, Sweden, just a few?”
