Indiana natives in NCAA volleyball tournament, how to watch them play

We are into the Round of 16 in the NCAA Division I volleyball tournament. Of the remaining teams, 10 have an Indiana native either currently on the roster or committed to play there.
Here are those 22 players still in contention for a national championship, high schoolers who are committed to one of those schools and how to watch this year’s NCAA tournament, including Purdue and Indiana who are still alive.

Logan Bell, Fr., OH, Roncalli — Bell established herself as an immediate contributor with the Jayhawks, appearing in 126 sets (34 matches) and totaling 181 digs, 15 aces, 18 assists and 19 kills. She set a season-high 13 digs at Wisconsin in August and had two aces at Houston in October.
Raegan Burns, Jr., L-DS, McCutcheon — Burns opted to take a medical redshirt after tearing her ACL and meniscus in September. She led the team in digs in 2024, and had 10 plus a couple assists in seven sets (two matches) in 2025.

Addi Applegate, Fr., DS-L, Yorktown — Applegate has appeared in 29 matches (101 sets) thus far, logging 155 digs, four aces and 25 assists.

Chloe Chicoine, Jr., OH, McCutcheon (Purdue) — Chicoine has maintained her high-level of play since transferring from Purdue, racking up 387 kills on .277 hitting, 419 points, 332 digs and 33 total blocks. She scored a season-high 28 kills in the Cardinals’ second-round win over Marquette.

Cara Cresse, R-Sr., MB, Fort Wayne Blackhawk — Among the nation’s best at her position, Cresse has a career-high 294 kills on .350 hitting, 171 total blocks (30 solo), seven aces and 30 digs. She’s six blocks off her career-high and also has a career-best 401.5 points. Cresse was selected in the first round of the Major League Volleyball draft by the Indy Ignite.

Addison Makun, Fr., MB, Silver Creek — Makun has appeared in 11 matches, logging 11 kills and 10 total blocks. She scored five kills against Wake Forest in September.
Molly Urban, Jr., L-DS, Martinsville — Urban has appeared in 27 sets, registering four aces, nine digs and an assist.

Ava Utterback, R-Fr., OH, Plainfield — Utterback has appeared in 39 sets across 17 matches after redshirting last season, collecting 20 kills (.279 hit%), 12 aces, three total blocks and 22 digs. She had five kills, two aces, five digs and seven points at Wake Forest in November.

Sienna Foster, RS-Fr., DS, Benton Central — After redshirting as a freshman, Foster has appeared in 31 matches (101 sets) for the Boilers in 2025, notching 58 digs, 20 aces and five assists. She’s also scored 21 points.
Allie Shondell, So., S, McCutcheon — Shondell has appeared in five matches and collected five assists and three digs.
Addy Tindall, Fr., OH, Homestead — Tindall has yet to appear in a match this season. She was the state’s top-ranked player out of high school.

Rachel Williams, RS-So., DS, West Lafayette — Williams has 14 aces and 26 digs through 30 matches (92 sets) for the Boilermakers.

2026: Elle Schara, Crown Point; MaryKate Scheumann, Belmont
Izzy Masten, Fr., L-DS, Tri-West — Masten, who decided to forgo her senior season at Tri-West last spring, has appeared in 32 matches (115 sets) for the Panthers. She has 126 digs, 21 aces and 20 assists to her name. Masten collected a season-high 18 digs against Florida in August.

Ramsey Gary, Jr., L, Pendleton Heights (Indiana) — Following an excellent two seasons at IU, Gary has flourished with the Longhorns, notching 198 digs, 11 aces and 36 assists over 103 sets played. She had a season-high 19 digs at Auburn in November and had 12 digs vs. Penn State in the Round of 32.

Emma Halter, Sr., L, Roncalli — Halter has been brilliant in her final season, recording 375 digs (1,286 career), with only 19 reception errors through 103 sets. She has also notched 24 aces, a career-high 159 assists and a kill — the third of her career. Halter was selected in the second round of the MLV draft by the Indy Ignite.

Ella Boersema, So., MB, Churubusco — Boersema has participated in 42 sets and set career-highs in kills (74), hit% (.375), aces (5), digs (13), solo blocks (six) and total blocks (59). She had nine kills vs. Washington and 10 blocks vs. Bowling Green. She led the Big Ten in blocking when she suffered an injury in the Monon Spike match Oct. 16, her last match played.

Avery Freeman, Fr., DS, Bloomington North — Freeman’s been a key depth piece in her first season, logging 119 digs and 28 aces through 101 sets.

Emma Segal, So., DS, Frontier — Segal’s appeared in 33 sets across 16 matches, picking up three assists, three aces and five digs.

Ava Vickers, Jr., MB, Fishers — Vickers appeared in two matches before undergoing season-ending surgery. She had five kills, an assist and seven blocks in seven sets.

Charlotte Vinson, Fr., OH, Yorktown — A serving specialist for the Hoosiers, Vinson has four aces and a couple digs thus far in her college career (10 matches). She was medically cleared and made her collegiate debut in October.

Eva Hudson, Sr., OH, FW Bishop Dwenger (Purdue) — A three-time all-Big Ten and 2023 All-American, Hudson has dazzled in her final season, accumulating 482 kills (career-best .317 hit percentage), 18 assists, 14 aces, 247 digs and 43 total blocks. She has 2,124 career kills and 1,039 career digs. Hudson was drafted in the third round of the MLV Draft by the Atlanta Vibe.
