MSU hockey remains in top five in latest national poll

Michigan State hockey remains in the top three nationally in the latest USCHO.com poll released on Monday.

Michigan State held position as the No. 3 team in the country in the latest USCHO.com poll for this week. The Spartans were No. 3 last week after spending most of the year at No. 1.

The Spartans are behind only a pair of Big Ten teams, with rival Michigan at No. 1 and Wisconsin at No. 2. Penn State (No. 9) was the only other Big Ten team included in this week’s poll.

Michigan State picked up a split against rival Michigan last week, losing at home on Friday but responding with a win on the road on Saturday. The Spartans are 12-4-0 overall and 5-3-0 in Big Ten play this season. Michigan State is now off until the Great Lakes Invitational in late December.
