
Nov. 14—The 40th episode of The Reporter’s Corner features freshman Teydon Trembecky, who is coming off a nine-point performance in the month of October that earned him CCHA Rookie of the Month honors.
Through 10 games this season, Trembecky has amassed 12 points for an MTU squad that has a 7-3 record and has swept both of its first two conference series. The native of Strathcona, Alberta, has recorded six goals and six assists with a plus-3 rating on the ice.

In this episode, Trembecky discusses his early playing days in western Canada, as well as his 107-point season with the WHL’s Victoria Royals in 2024-25, during which he played alongside a pair of current North Dakota standouts in Keaton Verhoeff and Cole Reschny. Trembecky also talked about why he made the decision to head to Houghton, Michigan, to play NCAA college hockey and what he’s learned about MTU’s devoted fan base in his first few months with the program.
