- Velocity has unveiled a Fox Body Mustang restomod.
- It features a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 800 rwhp.
- A one-off for now, but a production model arrives soon.
Velocity has used the SEMA Show to introduce what they’re claiming is the “world’s first production restomod Fox Body Mustang.” It’s billed as a “bespoke creation that redefines a generation’s performance icon through world-class engineering, design and craftsmanship.”
Looking undeniably badass, the 1991 Mustang LX was built from the ground up and rides on a Roadster Shop SPEC chassis. It features a Jet Black exterior with a two-inch cowl hood as well as Carter’s Customs side splitters.
They’re joined by 18-inch billet wheels that are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, with a six-piston Baer braking system standing by to keep everything under control.

The upgrades extend to the cabin, which is “fully redesigned” but instantly recognizable. Drivers sit behind a custom dashboard and find themselves looking at Autometer and Dakota Digital gauges.
The restomod also gets Recaro Expert M heated seats as well as a specially designed Sparc steering wheel. Elsewhere, there’s an Alcantara headliner as well as a unique center console and door panels.
Rounding out the highlights are a Vintage Air climate control system and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt head unit that’s paired with a Focal audio system.
Power to Spare
Under the hood, there’s a Ford Performance 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that has been equipped with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. This enables the car to produce 800 rwhp (597 kW / 811 PS).
The engine is connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels via a carbon fiber driveshaft. The model also sports a 9-inch rear end as well as engine bay closeout panels.
While the company says the car is a “one-of-a-kind halo vehicle,” Velocity is planning to add it to their Signature Series lineup in 2026. It will apparently join the 67-68 Mustang as well as classic Ford trucks and the International Scout. These start around $200,000, but there’s no word on how much the Fox Body Mustang will cost.
