THIS is the horror moment a Russian missile blew up an apartment block inside Vladimir Putin’s territory in a friendly fire blunder.
Footage shows the missile tearing through the sky before hitting the residential building in Belgorod.

It is understood that the rocket was launched from an air defence battery to intercept Ukrainian drones, but instead fell on the apartments inside the Russian territory.
Footage shows a huge blast as the missile hits the building overnight.
The strike turned the night sky orange with as a massive ball of fire erupted.
Heavy smoke was seen coming out of the building after the blitz caused by the Russian forces – on their own territory.

But this is not the first time the Russian forces have bombed their own cities
Last year, a bomb was dropped on Soloti, about 95 miles southeast of Bolgorod and about 40 miles from the Ukraine border, forcing the evacuation of 150 people.
The friendly fire incident, which left five people injured and damaged 30 homes and 10 cars
In 2023, footage showed the moment aRussianSu-34 fighter accidentally dropped a bomb in the city – causing a 70-foot crater.
The explosion ripped through the street and damaged nearby apartments.

Two women were reportedly wounded in the blast, with one being rushed to the hospital with head wounds.
The British Ministry of Defence said last year: “These instances indicate Russia’s continued inability to successfully employ their munitions on intended targets.
“Such errors have destructive and lethal consequences for the Russian population.”
The friendly fire was caused as the Russian forces scrambled air defence systems after Ukraine launched missiles and drone strikes.
Ukraine launched a major drone attack on Russia for the second day in a row.
Russian forces said they had intercepted 209 drones overnight and in the morning.
The attack is Kyiv’s second consecutive barrage on Russia as it steps up retaliatory strikes.
Most of the drones were shot down over the regions of Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod and Belgorod, Russia‘s defence ministry said in a statement.
But three people were killed and one injured when one of the missiles landed in Belgorod.
The governor said the strike partially collapsed a “social facility” and posted images of what appeared to be a sports hall, its facade partially shattered.
“Three people were killed and one was wounded,” Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram.
“There may be people under the rubble,” he added.

Ukraine has been hitting back with long-range strikes on the Russian energy supply, recently causing outages in some Russian regions along the border.
The Russian Defence Ministry said Wednesday that its air defences overnight intercepted 53 Ukrainian drones over nine Russian regions.
On Monday, Ukraine launched 251 drones towards Russia killing two people.
“One thousand people in four settlements remain without electricity,” according to Belgorod’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, adding that repair works were ongoing after the barrage.
