Backup Boston Celtics big man Neemias Queta is set to have a career season

Backup Boston Celtics big man Neemias Queta is set to have a career season with his team. After an injury to star Boston forward Jayson Tatum set in motion a series of moves to reshape the roster to a cheaper version of itself while the St. Louis native heals, Queta has now found himself among the roster’s candidates to play heavy minutes in the frontcourt rotation, perhaps even garnering a starting role with the Celtics.

Queta had knee surgery this summer to the surprise of many, but seems to have recovered well based on a small sample size of the Portuguese center dominating for his National Team in FIBA EuroBasket play to date. Will he be up to the challenges he faces with the Celtics this season?

Cohost of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast, Bobby Manning, linked up with the Boston big for an exclusive interview about his expanded role with the team in the season ahead. Check it out below!
