Saturday’s MLB Speedway Classic between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds has officially been suspended to Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Why, you may ask? Well, Bristol Motor Speedway quickly dissolved into a monsoon, with one video showing just how rancid the playing conditions were for the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds.
Two rain delays later, the game was called off until Sunday afternoon. The suspension allowed the event to take place in hopefully better baseball weather for the players and fans alike.
While we’re sure it stunk for the folks at the game who got poured on during the waits, at least the game could continue under hopefully more accommodating skies on Sunday.
