But the Merseysiders need to make space in the squad to accommodate these new signings. Chances are going to be at a premium for certain squad members – especially in attack.
One player set to suffer is Federico Chiesa. The Italian only managed six appearances in the Premier League last season and appears surplus to requirements given the quality now at Arne Slot’s disposal.
But now interest has emerged from inside the Premier League – in the form of Fulham – as well as Champions League club Celtic.
Coached by former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, the Scottish champions are ready to sign Chiesa on loan. That’s according to a new report in Sports Boom, which also claims the Cottagers retain an interest.
