🚨 Line-ups confirmed: Junior and América face off in Barranquilla
Junior, managed by CĂ©sar FarĂas, is playing for honor this Sunday at the Metropolitano Roberto MelĂ©ndez Stadium, having only gained a single point in four rounds and prematurely losing any chance of reaching the final of the Liga Betplay 2025-I.
They host AmĂ©rica de Cali, managed by Jorge Da Silva, who, on the other hand, arrives in Barranquilla in a do-or-die situation: they must win to keep their chances alive, in addition to hoping for a favor from Deportes Tolima in the other Group A game, which currently sees Independiente MedellĂn (who are leading 1-0 at halftime) with one foot in the tournament final.
Junior’s lineup includes: Jefferson MartĂnez in goal; Edwin Herrera, Javier Báez, Howell Mena, Jhomier Guerrero in defense; Yimmi Chará and Didier Moreno in midfield; Bryan CastrillĂłn, Jordan Barrera and Miller Bacca up front; Guillermo Paiva as the center forward.
América has changes in defense, with Cristian Tovar replacing Daniel Bocanegra. in the backline, where he will pair with Jean Pestaña. Additionally, Esneyder Mena returns to the defensive line. Marcos Mina completes the line of four ahead of goalkeeper Jorge Soto.
In midfield are Rafael Carrascal and Sebastián Navarro, and Jan Lucumà comes in to play in the more offensive area on the right, alongside Juan Fernando Quintero and Duván Zapata.
Rodrigo Holgado is once again the number 9 in the ‘Polilla’s’ team.
