Former Tennessee signee Brady House will make his Major League Baseball debut for the Nationals on Monday, according to Grant Paulsen of WJFK-FM 106.7 The Fan in Washington, D.C.
“Source: The Nationals are calling up Brady House to make his debut tomorrow against the Rockies,” Paulsen said.
House was selected No. 11 overall in the first round of the 2021 MLB draft by Washington. He committed to the Vols and head coach Tony Vitello in June 2018. House signed with Tennessee and was part of the Vols’ 2021 recruiting class before being drafted by Washington.
He was the 2021 No. 1 nationally ranked recruit, according to Perfect Game. House is from Winder-Barrow High School in Winder, Georgia.
Vitello has produced 10 student-athletes who played for him during his Tennessee head coaching tenure (2018-present) to reach MLB: Garrett Crochet, Chase Silseth, Ben Joyce, Andre Lipcius, Trey Lipscomb, Jordan Beck , Seth Halvorsen, Chase Dollander, Blade Tidwell and Christian Moore.
The Nationals will open a four-game home series against Colorado on Monday. First pitch is slated for 6:45 p.m. EDT at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
