Watch: Tennessee Titans' Lloyd Cushenberry back on the field after Achilles injury

The Tennessee Titans were back on the field Tuesday, opening their three-day mandatory minicamp, and welcomed back some veterans who are returning from injury.

Head coach Brian Callahan stated during his media session that all players except cornerback L’Jarius Sneed would be taking part in the practices in some fashion, including center Lloyd Cushenberry, who is coming back from tearing his Achilles during the 2024 season.

Cushenberry did just that, and here is a video of the veteran going through some exercises early in the session.

Tennessee is counting on Cushenberry to return and anchor the reconfigured offensive line in 2025. With new additions Dan Moore and Kevin Zeitler in the fold, and JC Latham moving from left tackle to right, center is the only real question left for the unit to address, and a healthy Cushenberry could answer that. The Titans signed the center to a four-year, $50 million contract during the 2024 offseason and are looking for more of a return on their investment.

While Cushenberry did not participate during team periods, the fact that he is not only on the field but also stretching and pushing off on his repaired Achilles tendon is a significant step forward. After entering the offseason with questions about whether he would be ready for the season, being back on the field in June makes that a distinct possibility at this point.
