- Three-star safety Bradley Brown committed to TCU, choosing them over Michigan State.
- Brown, a Texas native, had an official visit to Michigan State scheduled but cancelled it after committing to TCU.
- Michigan State already has two safety commits in the 2026 class, minimizing the impact of Brown’s decision.
A defensive back prospect targeted by Michigan State has committed to elsewhere.
Bradley Brown of Plano, Texas has elected to stay close to home by committing to TCU on Tuesday evening. His commitment to the Horned Frogs was announced via a post on his social media X account.
Brown was a Michigan State target, with a scheduled official visit to Michigan State set for June 20. He visited TCU a few weeks ago, Missouri this past weekend and was also expected to visit Vanderbilt this upcoming weekend. The assumption is that those upcoming visits to Michigan State and Vanderbilt are cancelled with his commitment to TCU.
Brown is a three-star safety prospect in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a recruiting rating of 87.36 and ranks as the No. 65 safety in the class in 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Michigan State has already added a pair of safeties to its 2026 class with the commitments of three-stars Brayden Thomas and Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy earlier this month. So the loss of Brown isn’t a true game-changer as this is an area that Michigan State may already be done looking to pursue in the 2026 class.
