Former Bengals star arrested near Cincinnati

Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones was arrested over the weekend on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and assault of an officer, according to The Athletic.

Jones was booked on June 7 by Covington police after authorities were called due to a disturbance at a bar on West Seventh Street. Police allegedly stopped Jones from leaving the scene in a car upon arrival.

Last November, Jones was arrested in Texas after the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match on multiple charges. In 2023, he was arrested in the Cincinnati area on multiple charges as well, including “terroristic threatening for unruly behavior” on a flight at CVG.

Now 41, Jones was the sixth pick in the 2005 draft who spent 2010-2017 on some memorable Marvin Lewis Bengals teams before retiring after a brief stint with the Denver Broncos in 2018. According to The Athletic, he was arrested or questioned in eight different incidents over the course of his playing career.
