WWE Money in the Bank 2025 had one overwhelming favorite in the men’s match, and as it turns out, Seth Rollins was the favorite for a reason.

En route to WWE’s latest pay-per-view, the company assembled one of the most unique MITB fields in recent memory: Andrade, El Grande Americano, LA Knight, Penta, Rollins and Solo Sikoa. In the show’s semi-main event, a slew of superstars not even in the match, including Bronson Reed, Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker, showed up in an attempt to help their stables win the briefcase.

Once the dust settled, however, one man was able to leave the Intuit Dome as the winner of the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank match and with that a guaranteed future world title match.

Seth Rollins Wins 2025 WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

WWE went the most obvious route with the 2025 men’s Money in the Bank match winner: Seth Rollins.

The clear betting favorite and the logical one, too, Rollins left the Intuit Dome with the Money in the Bank briefcase after a chaotic, interference-filled men’s MITB match. Just as Naomi’s victory was widely expected, so was Rollins, the lone star in the bout who is consistently pushed as a main eventer.

Some of the key highlights of the men’s ladder match were:

• Early on, Andrade hit a flipping dive over the top rope onto the outside, taking out four competitors in the match. Penta quickly followed suit and laid out all five opponents with a crossbody of his own.
• Americano destroyed Rollins with a reverse powerslam onto the ladder. Sikoa then body slammed Americano onto a ladder in the corner of the ring before Knight hit Sikoa with a reverse DDT on a different ladder.
• Rollins hit Sikoa with a drop toehold onto the ladder followed by a massive Stomp. Americano locked Rollins in an ankle lock atop a ladder in the middle of the ring, but Andrade interfered and destroyed Americano with a sunset flip bomb off the top. Seconds later, Penta hit Rollins with a superplex onto a ladder. That prompted some NSFW chants from the Intuit Dome fans.
• Penta earned himself another highlight when he demolished Andrade with a Mexican Destroyer atop an elevated ladder stretching from one ladder to the corner of the ring.
• Penta headbutted Americano off the ladder near the briefcase, then knocked Rollins off the top. Just when it looked like Penta would win the match, Americano was able to push a ladder into a leaning position on the large ladder in the ring.
• Americano, with a steel plate inserted into his mask knocked Penta off the ladder, then Knight hit a huge side suplex on Americano, which generated a massive reaction from the crowd.
• Penta somehow got back into the ring and exchanged punches with Andrade at the top of the ladder. Andrade knocked him off and grabbed the briefcase, but couldn’t reach the latch to unhook it. Penta got back up, and exchanged blows with Knight mere feet from the briefcase.
• Rollins called for backup from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who entered the match and destroyed everyone in the bout, with Breakker spearing Knight outside of the ring and Reed hitting an incredible Tsunami on Andrade.
• Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo hit the ring to a massive pop after Reed and Breakker cleaned house. Fatu hit a pop-up Samoan Drop on Reed and then a suicide dive on the outside as the crowd went bonkers with chants of “Fatu!”
• When it looked like Fatu was helping Sikoa secure the briefcase and win the match, Fatu grabbed Sikoa’s ankle and screamed, “I hate you, Solo!” before blasting Sikoa with a Superkick. Fatu then hit a moonsault onto Sikoa followed by a Rock Bottom-like move through a ladder on the outside.
• Rollins nearly took advantage to grab the briefcase, but Knight interfered and hit him with a clothesline. Knight went for a BFT, but Rollins reversed it and hit Knight with a Stomp, which allowed Rollins to grab the briefcase and win the match.

While Fatu’s betrayal of Sikoa stole the show, that major moment was also, well, obviously coming.

WWE had teased for weeks upon weeks that Fatu, one of the company’s fastest rising stars, would turn babyface in the near future. As it turns out, WWE finally pulled the trigger at Money in the Bank 2025, and Fatu’s interference played a big role in Rollins capitalizing for the win.

That could be seen from a mile away, with reports emerging that Rollins would likely win the match and earn a guaranteed world title shot. Looking at the other competitors in the match, Rollins quite clearly had the best shot at becoming world champion over the past year.

The only question entering Money in the Bank was: is Rollins winning too obvious? Maybe, maybe not. But even if it was, WWE stuck to its guns and gave Rollins a second briefcase win at Money in the Bank 2025, and don’t be surpised if he’s world champion sooner rather than later.
