Bryce Underwood is a freshman phenom and the likely starter for the Michigan football team in his true freshman year. The Belleville (Mich.) standout stayed home and is now the fan favorite for the local squad, and that comes with some perks — especially considering that there are four major sports teams in the area.
Underwood made appearances this winter at Detroit Pistons games and even was honored with a custom jersey. Now it was the Detroit Tigers’ turn.

The former five-star quarterback made his way to Comerica Park on Sunday and not only received a custom jersey, but he also got to throw out the first pitch.
All this before he takes his first snap in college — that’s how much he means to the greater Detroit area.
Given that there are no professional MLB baseball teams in Louisiana, it’s unlikely he’d find a similar honor as an LSU commit. And even if he did, it couldn’t have been as special as being recognized by his hometown Major League Baseball team.
