A polyphemus moth. My family rented an Airbnb country home to spend Christmas Eve together. This was taken in the early morning. The moth was still and cooperative, and allowed me to get a real closeup of its back. I simply felt enthralled by the hairy texture and beautiful, lush simplicity of this amazing creature.
