With Jannik Sinner ’s doping verdict set to be announced next year, Nastase compared these incidents to Simona Halep’s case. Halep failed a doping test at the 2022 US Open and received a four-year ban. Nastase, an ATP Finals champion, suggested that differences in punishments might be influenced by players’ nationalities.
