YOU might have heard of Sophie Rain.
She boasts 5.2 million Instagram followers and is one of the most lucrative content creators in the world. So much so, she made more money than England captain Harry Kane this year.
But the influencer, who netted the bulk of her 2024 income from controversial adult platform OnlyFans, has come under fire for boasting about her £34.3 MILLION earnings.
The 20-year-old beamed that she’s “thankful” to have raked in a whopping £2.9 million a MONTH from posting sexual and explicit content on OnlyFans.
By comparison, Three Lions ace Harry Kane reportedly made around £20.8 million this year, according to Sky Germany – which is more than £10 million SHORT of Sophie’s earnings.
Controversial platform OnlyFans has become synonymous with online adult content, helping amateur porn stars and models earn millions.

It has also drawn in celebrities such as Bella Thorne and Katie Price.
Content creators charge monthly fees for access to pictures, videos and more, with Sophie said to be in the top percentile of earners.
She took to X (formerly Twitter) yesterday to show off her OnlyFans earnings for the year to November 28, 2024.
A screenshot supposedly taken from the app showcased gross earnings of $43.5 MILLION, which translates to £34.3 million.
The Florida-based social media star added that she was “thankful for those 82 million American men today” who are subscribers on the X-rated platform.
Critics quickly slammed Sophie for being “tone deaf” and claimed her mammoth income was “disgusting”.
“You should be ashamed of yourself,” one penned.
“This is sad, honestly,” a second sighed.
Sophie revealed in October that there are several fake accounts online of people impersonating her in order to “scam” men out of money.
She alleges that people have even taken her videos and used AI to put their faces on her body.
What is OnlyFans?
OnlyFans is a subscription content service based in London.
As of 2023, it is thought to have more than 220million registered users and over three million content creators.
Sex workers charge monthly fees for access to pictures, videos and more.
While popular for porn, the site isn’t exclusively designed with that in mind – anyone who wants to build up a fan base and charge them for it can set one up.
Celebs like Katie Price and Kerry Katona are popular personalities on the platform.
“Whether you’re uploading tutorials, tips, behind-the-scenes footage or just endless selfies, a lot of your followers would be willing to pay for them,” the company states.
For every subscription that’s sold to a viewer, performers get 80 per cent of the cash while OnlyFans gets the rest.
It isn’t limited to adult content, as it has become popular with physical fitness experts and musicians.
“It bothers me a lot,” she said.
“I find it incredibly creepy seeing my body or my face used by someone else.
“I have a lot of men who message me saying something along the lines of, ‘hey, we had plans to meet up and at the last minute you cancelled on me, I just want to know why.’
“I try my best to respond to them and tell them that I don’t message people on my unverified social media accounts.

“I’ll give them some sympathy and sometimes they’re understanding and that’s that, but a lot of the time they think I’m lying about it.
“It really irritates me because it’s not my fault someone is using my photos to scam them.”
