‘I will be nicer to my opponent,’ Aryna Sabalenka feels sorry for Anastasia Potapova for losing 6-0 6-0 in 40 minutes to Iga Swiatek

Iga Swiatek has become synonymous with bagels. She is now dominating on the clay courts of Roland Garros and pulled off a quick 6-0, 6-0 within 40 minutes to beat Anastasia Potapova in the fourth round. Swiatek’s rival, Aryna Sabalenka , after beating America’s Emma Navarro , has made it clear she won’t try to imitate the Pole because she wants to be ‘nicer’ to her opponents.

The match in 40 minutes was the World No.1’s quickest finish of her career, which was crazy according to Sabalenka. She was watching that match, and thoughts like producing complete dominance in a match raced in her mind, but her plan to focus on herself interrupted her train of thought, and she joked later in the press conference that she felt sorry for Potapova.
