‘Deliberations begin in Trump hush money trial’

Thursday will be the second day of waiting on a Manhattan jury after “deliberations begin in Trump hush money trial,” The Washington Post says atop its front page. The Philadelphia Daily News calls Wednesday’s deliberations a “hush to judgment.” As the U.S. waits to hear Donald Trump’s fate, The New York Times explores how a former Florida sheriff’s deputy became “a one-man disinformation army out of Russia.” The Wall Street Journal says that “Mexico is poised to elect its first female president,” while the Los Angeles Times reports that “political killings surge in Mexico” before the election.

The Post and New York Times feature Justice Samuel Alito declining to recuse himself from a pair of Jan. 6 cases in front of the Supreme Court, and the Times also reports that “an arms plant in Texas opens to aid Ukraine.”
