He watched on as his former club Southampton beat Leeds 1-0 to clinch an immediate return to the Premier League.

And Ramsdale has now confirmed he was in attendance to support former Bournemouth team-mate David Brooks.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, he said: “Any time one of our friends get to Wembley we do fancy dress, it’s something we’ve done and we’ve won three times from it so we’re not gonna break from tradition now.

“To see what he’s done over the past few years, what he’s been through, to see him out on that pitch – coming off and seeing how distraught he was – but then to get the win was superb.”

He then went on to add: “I think the first year we did Teletubbies, the other year we did wrestlers – I went as old school Kane.

“We had a mask but I had a little leotard on. It’s just something we did.

“[This year] It was a toss-up between Toy Story and wizards and the Toy Story outfits wouldn’t have come in time so we chose wizards.

“We had a Dumbledore, we had a Harry, we had a Ron Weasley, we had two deatheaters. So I thought ‘Why not go as Hagrid?'”

Ramsdale went on to reveal he was recognised when he took his wig or beard off, but with both on he was able to remain inconspicuous.

Ramsdale has been overtaken in the Arsenal pecking order by David Raya and could be on the move this summer.
