Luiz still a target

Douglas Luiz is still a target for Arsenal.

The Gunners first failed in a bid for the Aston Villa midfielder in 2022.

But manager Mikel Arteta is still desperate to add the Brazil international to his ranks, according to Fabrizio Romano.

“There are several players on the list. One player they’ve always appreciated is Douglas Luiz, but negotiating with Villa is never easy,” Romano said via JD football.

Arsenal ‘will dominate for years to come’

Former Arsenal defender William Gallas believes the Gunners have the potential to ‘dominate the Premier League for years to come’.

“Yes, I can see Mikel Arteta and Arsenal dominating the Premier League for years to come,” he said via Genting Casino. “What he has done is just amazing, they have improved every year under his management and this season they have been so close to winning the title.

“Now, it all depends on City and what they are going to do tomorrow night against Tottenham – Arsenal have to hope that they drop points.

“Anyone will be afraid of Arsenal and Arteta next season. What they have been able to do with scoring goals and controlling games has been so impressive.

“They no longer make the same mistakes they used to against the smaller teams, conceding stupid goals. They only did it once, in January against Fulham, but since then they have understood what needs to be done and that’s what makes them so strong.

“I think they will dominate the Premier League for years to come.”
