EASTENDERS fans were left stunned as the BBC made a landmark change to the soap credits after a ‘powerful’ episode’.
Tuesday’s episode saw Yolande Trueman finally tell her partner Patrick about her harrowing sexual abuse ordeal.
Yolande was targeted by Pastor Clayton last month, and she has struggled to deal with what happened ever since.
But last night in a special two-hander episode, Yolande opened up to Patrick, and the couple went through a wide range of emotions as they tried to process it all.
At one point, Yolande raged: “That man, he used his power and position to manipulate and violate me. To make me think that I was unreasonable and not him.
“He thought he had every right to do with me as he pleased as if he was God himself.”

Yolande began washing up and Patrick went to quietly join in and he managed to break the tension by making her laugh, and the pair managed to get through the trauma.
By the end of it, Patrick vowed to stand by her, while Yolande agreed to report Pastor Clayton to church officials.
Then in a surprising move, show bosses scrapped EastEnders‘ iconic ‘doof doof’ and theme tune over the credits for a poignant version of The Real Thing track Can’t Get By Without You.
As the song played, a picture of Yolande and Patrick in happier times was shown.
