A Pittsburgh pastor looked down the barrel of a gun Sunday and heard the sound of the trigger being pulled. By His grace, he lived to see another day in the land of the living.

However, his reaction following the event was even more of a shock to some.

Pastor Glenn Germany of Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church said last Sunday he was delivering a sermon on walking in the ways of the Lord when a young man walked directly up to the pulpit. On the livestream, the seemingly calm young man pulled out a firearm and raised it in front of Pastor Germany’s face.

*boom* The trigger was pulled. Yet, a breath later, Germany woke up on the ground no injuries.

He tells CNN the gun jammed. The man was then tackled to the ground by the cameraman. Afterwards, the man was restrained until the police arrived. However, the pastor said after all the chaos, he didn’t have any hard feelings.

The pastor asked the gunman why he did it. “He told me the spirits got into his head,” Germany said.

That’s when both men exchanged surprising words.

“Look, I’m not mad at you,” the pastor told the gunman. “I understand. I want you to know I love you.”

The gunman “said he was sorry. He apologized to me,” Germany said. The pastor then extended an offer to the man who nearly ended his life.

“I just told him if you need anything, this is my name, and get in touch with me. And as much as I can help you while you’re (incarcerated), I’ll help.”

Given the recent shooting at Joel Osteen’s megachurch or even the viral mugging of the Blingy Bishop Lamor Whitehead and honestly, incidents like this inside church houses aren’t uncommon.
