A woman explains the story of how she got pregnant with her twins at just 15 years old, despite growing up in a protective and strict religious family.

Karina Amaya, now 20, grew up in a very religious family where her social time was limited with her phone being confiscated and checked through every single night.and checked each night.

However, her strict upbringing didn’t stop Karina from finding ways to bend the rules, and revealed she had a secret side phone.

She met the father of her twins at 13 and was speaking to him with the help of a secret phone and the pair dated for two years before he entered her house.

Karina revealed she had sneaked him into her bedroom at night – where she feel pregnant at the age of 15.

The now mum-of-two said she began feeling ‘terrible’ at the time.

She said: “I felt really bad… like I didn’t know… I just felt really bad. And I also started crying.

“I felt bad because I didn’t know how my dad felt about it or what he was going to tell me. I thought he was going to kick me out of the house.”

But Karina decided to keep her situation a secret for four months before finally telling her parents after her mum became suspicious.

After weeks of successfully hiding that she was with child, Karina said her mother became suspicious, pointing to her daughter’s protruding belly and ‘skinny’ frame as the reason.

At 5am that same morning Karina said her mother marched her to a gas station to purchase a pregnancy twist – which ‘of course was positive’.

But the teenager had no idea she was expecting identical twins until she went for her first ultrasound.

She had finally told her parents and they helped set up the appointment for her when they discovered the shocking news.

Naturally, the parents were not happy about the news at first, but they soon got onboard and supported their daughter in any way they could.

She explained: ‘Once they found out, my dad went to his room and he closed the door and he stayed in there and my mum she started crying on the floor’.

Karina revealed that her dad soon after began building the twins a room to enjoy, whilst her mum would attend every appointment with her.

Later on Karina spoke on her parents’ excitement that the girls would be the first twins in the family.

In another video Karina shared a second reason for why motherhood had come as a surprise – she revealed she had used ‘protection’ during intercourse.

After noticing her period was late by a month she chose to take a pregnancy test, however kept the results hidden from her parents for another four months.

“When I saw the two lines, I was just like what?!” said Karina. “When my mum found out about it I started crying… she hugged me and she was there to support me.”

She also shared her reasons for ‘keeping’ her pregnancy, despite what society may think about her.

She added: “Many people judge us, I’ve gotten many hate comments… that I should’ve aborted – that my future and my life were over.

“Being a mum means something really special to me. I know what my mum means to me so I know what I will mean to my girls.”

The mother-of-two also painted a realistic portrayal of what it’s like to raise twins and has conceded that it is ‘hard work’.

Karina who is from Lugoff, South Carolina, USA, said: “I feel like I was meant for twin motherhood, of course it’s difficult, but motherhood is hard in general.”

One person commented: “This is so sweet, we can’t expect our parents to be happy at first because that’s not what they want for us, especially at a young age – but some will support.”

Whilst another person said: “Girl you’re so strong and I’m so proud of you. I’m so happy that your parents were there for you regardless. Sending you so much love.”
