The Welshman managed a strong comeback to get the score to 17-11 but appeared to forgot snooker protocol in the final session of the world championship match.

Having won another frame to make it 17-12, an interval was called so the players could unwind and go to their dressing rooms.

However, Silent Assassin Jones appeared to not realise this and went over to take his seat by the table.

After a moment he was ushered away and towards the stage exit.

Qualifier Jones seemed to see the funny side of the ordeal, as he was seen with a beaming smile as he walked off.

BBC‘s commentator could be heard letting out a little chuckle as they said: “He’s sitting down.

“I don’t think he realises it’s the interval, but it is.

Kyren Wilson has the advantage as they go off. You’re still in it Jak.”
