“Precious” director Lee Daniels has reportedly wrapped up his upcoming horror flick “The Deliverance” and is ready for a summer of new projects and showing out from the looks of a recent Instagram post.

Clad in a leather vest, sunglasses, with chest hair on full display, Daniels looked noticeably trimmer, and we absolutely ain’t mad at him for feeling himself.

“Finished my film #thedeliverance and getting ready for new tv shows #summerready,” Daniels captioned his April 22 post.

Days later, Daniels was spotted looking dapper at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute To Nicole Kidman at Dolby Theatre event on April 27 in Los Angeles. “The Butler” moviemaker was snapped in a photo alongside Hollywood stars Miles Teller, Reese Witherspoon, Zac Efron, Meryl Streep, and the evening’s honoree, Kidman.

According to the details on Daniels’ “The Deliverance,” the project is a horror flick that Netflix reportedly paid $65 million for the streaming rights nearly two years ago. And the amount of Black Hollywood packed into the film is worth the price alone, including comedian Mo’Nique, Atlanta legend Miss Lawrence, Broadway queen Andra Day, high school crush Omar Epps, “The Help” Oscar winner Octavia Spencer, everyone’s favorite auntie Tasha Smith, “Origin” star Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and “Stranger Things” star Caleb McLaughlin.

Per the synopsis, a Black family uncovers that their new Indiana home just might be a portal to hell, according to Bloody Disgusting.

“When Ebony Jackson, a struggling single mom, moves her mother and children into a new home, strange occurrences begin to happen, and child protective services, suspects Ebony of child abuse. But when these occurrences reveal to be demonic, Ebony not only has to battle the system for her children, but she soon finds herself in a spiritual battle against a demon for her faith, her life, and for the souls of her children. Inspired by a true story.”

Also on Daniels’ plate is a movie that will wrap up the canceled FOX series “Star.” About continuing the stories started in the series, Daniels took to social media to announce that he had some “bad news and good news.”

“The bad news is that Star is not getting picked up for a series,” he said in a video message. “But the good news is that we’re doing a movie in a week to wrap things up for yall.”

In other words, Daniels is booked and busy for the summer, and we anticipate he will be serving body along the way.
