Alice
Enter a wonderland of pastries, croissants and ice-creams at Alice, near Copenhagen’s Christianshavns Vold nature reserve. While the staff take pride in their coffee and ice-cream, they also serve some of the best baked goodies in the city. Get here early as you’ll find the pastries sold out by the afternoon, but don’t fret, the ice-creams, which are all organic, are worth staying for. If you’re in Denmark between January and February, try its version of fastelavnsboller – a flaky eclair finished with cream – with a coffee. And don’t miss the pistachio ice-cream, a clear favourite here. The Guardian
