The actress, who played fan-favourite Miss Hoolie on Balamory over 20 years ago, stripped down to a black swimsuit for her dip in the sea.

The 52-year-old is an eager sea swimmer and is also part of a club that promotes the activity.

Commenting on her video, one fan said: “Looks awesome! I have a weeks worth of swimming to make up for, can’t wait to get in tomorrow!”

Meanwhile, earlier this year Balamory fans were left delighted as the Scottish star returned to the fictional seaside village.

The children’s show kicked off in 2002 and ran for four seasons and was set in Tobermory, in Scotland.
