Riding the bus is stressful enough without having to worry about a fight breaking out and making everybody late for work. But when an irate passenger attacks the driver, everybody loses.

That’s exactly what allegedly went down last Saturday, April 20, when surveillance video captured an angry passenger attacking an Oklahoma EMBARK Bus driver.

In the video, which is circulating around social media, the passenger proceeds to step over the yellow line (a big no-no when you’re on the bus) and exchanges words with the driver. He waits for a reaction before proceeding to punch the driver and launch a full on attack.

The driver appears to have been trying to keep his eyes on the road before he is forced to turn all of his attention to fighting off the passenger. After the driver falls out of his seat trying to protect himself from the passenger, things get dangerous for the bus driver and for the cars around the bus because there is no one in control. And it isn’t long before the bus slams into what appears to be a brick sign.

Whew!

Now we aren’t going to pretend that we’ve never been pissed off at a bus driver, mostly when we’re stuck behind them on the road. But we have to ask: Is it ever that serious?

According to a News 9 report, no one was thankfully seriously hurt during the ordeal, and the passenger was allegedly pissed off because he wanted the bus to stop at a place the driver wasn’t allowed to stop. The passenger was obviously hella upset about it and chose to take it all out on the bus driver in that moment.

But then we have to ask again: Is it ever that serious?

Social media commentators posted exactly what we were thinking while watching the video.

“The fact that this crash wasn’t worse or involve other cars is a miracle,” wrote one social media commentator on X.

Another added, “And now he is going to be charged with attempted murder of the driver plus passengers over a fight.”

And lastly, “Son going UNDER THE JAIL cuz he couldn’t control himself. Yall gotta relax smh.”

Smh, indeed.
