The world champion is out!

While, Ross Smith has defeated Damon Heta – despite Heta looking in fine form to checkout a 143 to move 4-3 ahead.
Michael van Gerwen v Gabriel Clemens up next.
Scenes at the European Grand Prix
Gary Anderson has squeaked through… and we mean squeaked to the semi-final.
The Scot survived several match darts from Josh Rock to somehow win 6-5.
What a start to tonight’s play.
Snooker to follow darts lead
Barry Hearn reckons snooker could have its own ‘Luke Littler moment’ – but that kid might not be British.
The retired sports promoter, 75, said: “Luke Littler took darts into the mainstream which means TV rights are worth more, sponsorship is worth more.
“More money comes in, prize money goes up. Now, can we get that in snooker? Absolutely. Why not?
“Providing we can invest enough in the grassroots and bring on the next level.
“We mustn’t live in this goldfish bowl, they don’t all have to be British.”
Michael van Gerwen advice
Michael van Gerwen advised 10-year-old darts prodigy Owen Bryceland to learn from his mistakes.
What the kid has done is nice. It’s good for darts. It’s nice to help the next generation but they have to make the mistakes themselves.
Then they learn the most. That will help them in the long run. You need to give yourself the time for the sport.
We play in big venues now in front of millions of viewers around the world.
