A TEENAGER was left disgusted after biting into a McDonald’s burger and “discovering something was alive inside”.
Sachey Nurse was eating a McCrispy Deluxe from her local branch in Llanelli, Wales, when she felt something crunch.
It was only then that the 18-year-old discovered “a live snail” in her food, leaving her “disgusted”.
She said: “I got this meal on Sunday. We were hungry and wanted fast food.
“It was a McCrispy Deluxe meal. I noticed the snail when I bit into the burger and something was crunchy.
“It was alive, it was moving.

“I took it back to the store and they told me they would report this to their supplier company.”
Miss Nurse, a cafe worker, said she also reported the contamination to JustEat, who delivered her order.
For Sachey, it’ll be the last time she visits her local branch.
She said: “It made me feel sick. I was disgusted. I’d never return to this McDonald’s.”

A spokesperson for McDonald’s said the company employed “rigorous standards” to ensure food quality.
They said: “We are very sorry to hear about this customer’s experience.
“Food safety is of the utmost importance to us and we place great emphasis on quality control, following rigorous standards to avoid any imperfections.
“We understand that the customer has been in touch with the restaurant team who are conducting a thorough investigation and would encourage anyone with a complaint to contact our Customer Services team to help find a resolution.”
The McCrispy Deluxe, which has since disappeared from McDonald’s menus, was a twist on the regular McCrispy sandwich.
In addition to the usual crispy chicken breast, topped with lettuce and mayo, the Deluxe had a caramelised onion relish, red onions, bacon and a slice of cheddar cheese.
The newly-launched menu changes have brought the return of the Chicken Big Mac, as well as a Deluxe Quarter Pounder, Cheese and Herb Melts, a Biscoff McFlurry and a Biscoff Frappe.
