Dejected Tupac murder suspect Keefe D feels ‘abandoned by his loyal gang soldiers’ as they refuse to lend him bail cash
TUPAC Shakur murder suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis feels let down by his fellow gangsters in his “hour of need” as he languishes in jail unable to raise his bail money.

But now, the 60-year-old worries he may not be able to get out of the Clark County Detention Center before his trial, which is slated for fall.
Keefe’s confidence has diminished into despair as he feels “abandoned” by “loyal soldiers” from his gang days, whom he has helped out over the years.
Keefe needs to stump up around $80,000 to secure bond for the $750,000 bail, which would see him released on home arrest with a location-monitoring device.
But “despite making calls,” Keefe’s friends and family have not been able to secure enough cash to allow him to get out of jail to fight for his freedom from his home in Henderson.
One former gang associate claimed Keefe expected “some of those guys he helped on the way up to show him love back.”
In the 1990s, by his own admission, he was earning millions of dollars as a drug kingpin in the greater LA area.
The insider claims that Keefe used to regularly gift “soldiers and his loyal Crips big wads of money and cars.”
He added, “He thrived on that image of being the boss who rewarded his troops.”

However, fast forward three decades and the love and generosity are not “being reciprocated.”
The source said, “Keefe feels let down by some of them homies who he showed huge love to back in the day.

“He gave them hundreds of thousands in handouts and wages, but nothing is coming back. It is p***ing him off, man.”

His lawyer, Carl Arnold, exclusively confirmed that the family is struggling to find the bail money.
Arnold said, “These guys, his family or whatever, are just having trouble raising the money and so that’s the issue right now.
“Not enough money’s being raised and he can’t get out at this point.
“Every time I see him, he thinks he should have been bailed out yesterday, but the family hasn’t come up with the money. So that’s where we’re at with that.”
One issue for Keefe is that even if he does achieve the fundraising for the bond, Judge Carli Kierny has ordered a means hearing.
That court procedure sees her examine the source of the money provided for the bail bond. If she feels that the sum has not been collected through legal processes then she can reject that bail bid.

In February, during a court hearing, Keefe complained to the judge that the media was impacting his ability to achieve bail over stories they had written about his past activities.
Many of Keefe’s criminal boasts and confessions of illegal acts feature in his autobiography. Judge Kierney did not make any amendments to her source hearing decision.
Keefe, who maintains his innocence, is set to face trial in November. He pleaded not guilty to the murder, despite his many admissions in media interviews to playing a key role in the killing of the rap icon.
Keefe is the only person ever charged in connection with the drive-by shooting of the California Love star in Las Vegas in September 1996.
Vegas Metro detectives hit a brick wall after Tupac’s death as gang members refused to discuss the killing in the 1990s.
However, in the last decade, Keefe has given many interviews about how he was a key player in organizing gang members to hunt down Shakur for assassination.
He also outlined the murder in his memoir. Detectives confirmed his comments led them to a murder charge, which could result in life imprisonment.
It comes after Keefe told associates last week he was no snitch and had nothing to do with the recent federal raids on rapper Diddy after rumors swirled he was trying to get a plea deal.

In a previous taped interview with LAPD, Keefe had claimed Diddy orchestrated the hit on Pac and offered to pay $1 million.
Keefe was supposed to have immunity despite the tape – known as a proffer – although it is now being used as evidence against him after he claimed he lied to police about it.
Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo declared his confidence in their case against Keefe.
