THE BBC has axed Sara Davis’ series Ultimate Wedding Planner just days after the Dragons’ Den star revealed she has been going through a “rough time.”
Sara’s reality competition show launched in 2023, but has been cancelled after just one season.
Ultimate Wedding Planner has been cancelled
Sara, 39, is best known for being one of the Dragons on Dragons’ Den. However, the entrepreneur has made several other TV appearances, too.
In 2023, she began hosting the BBC Two reality competition series Ultimate Wedding Planner alongside Raj Somaiya and Fred Sirieix.
The show saw eight wedding planners battle it out to prove they are Britain’s next best wedding expert by designing bespoke ceremonies for six couples, with one eventually being crowned the winner.
The show was expected to return for a second season as applications for contestants opened and closed earlier this year.

However, the Beeb has confirmed the show won’t be coming back.
A BBC spokesperson told TV Zone: “At present, there are no plans for a second series.”
The cancellation news no doubt comes as a devastating blow to the presenting trio, including Sara, who recently revealed that she’s been going through a “rough time” as one of her businesses has been struggling.
