On Wednesday (April 10), OJ Simpson passed away at the age of 76 following a lengthy cancer battle. His legacy is certainly an infamous one. In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of the double-murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. The late Robert Kardashian served as one of his defense attorneys during the trial.

For decades, the rumor has swirled that Simpson was actually the biological father of Kardashian’s daughter Khloé. Khloé’s mother, Kris Jenner, was notably close with both Simpson and Brown and remained by the Simpson children’s side after Brown’s death.

She was also married to Robert from 1978 to 1991. In 2018, Simpson denied the claim that he was Khloé’s dad. “Trust me, I have nothing to do with [Khloe and her family]. I would be proud if I had anything to do with it, but I don’t,” the late athlete told TMZ.

In 2013, Ellen Pierson—Robert’s wife at the time of his passing in 2003—sold excerpts from his private journal to a tabloid. In addition, she also gave an interview and said that Robert, who died at the age of 59 from esophageal cancer, admitted to her that he wasn’t Khloé’s biological dad.

The Kardashian family has long denied the rumor. Back in 2018, the Kardashian and Jenner children took 23 and Me DNA tests on an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” “You are my sister,” Kourtney Kardashian said after Khloé read her results aloud.

According to Khloé , her test revealed that she is 58% European and 41.6% Middle Eastern (Robert Kardashian’s ancestors were Armenian). “Thank God. If you weren’t Middle Eastern at all, we would be in big trouble,” Kourtney continued.

Hopefully, both families can finally put this gossip to rest.
