I worked a wedding where the maid of honor shoved her hands down the groom’s pants – her next move was so much worse
A FORMER bartender shared the worst wedding disaster they witnessed during their time at a hotel.
Nearly a decade after working the ceremony, they said they still felt physically ill when they recalled it.

Redditor 710ZombieUnicorn shared the wedding story in a post.
While the bartender was used to serving drinks at rowdy weddings, they said one particular reception was a “doozy.”
“Me and the other banquet staff loved people watching at these things so we usually caught on pretty quick when something weird was happening,” they wrote.
“We first noticed something off when one of the bridesmaids was sitting on the groom’s lap at the head table for a reeeeeally long time.”
The Redditor explained that the situation quickly progressed to the point where the wait staff drew their conclusions.
While speeches were dolled out, it was revealed that the bridesmaid was, in fact, the maid of honor.
“Her ENTIRE 10-minute speech is about the groom being her BFF since childhood and their ‘special connection’ that can’t be broken,” they said.
“Zero mention of the bride. Super cringe but things move on.”

After “barely interacting all night,” the bartender witnessed the bride and groom together for their first dance.

To the waitstaff’s horror, the bride seemed “utterly oblivious” to the situation.
As the evening came to a close, they quickly realized the groom was missing for the departure toast.
“The bridesmaids start asking the staff if we have seen the groom anywhere,” they said.

“One of our bell boys says he thinks he saw him go upstairs.”
One of the hotel managers headed up to the suite to check for the groom, only to see much more than they’d bargained for.
“Well after a bit of knocking, guess who opens the door in a disheveled mess?” they teased.
“Yup, you guessed it! The maid of honor. The groom appears behind her a moment later and my boss stiffly relays that his BRIDE is looking for him and he is needed downstairs.”
The Redditor revealed it took the two twenty minutes to return to the wedding.
“I s**t you not. These 2 walked back into the room together bold as brass and arm in arm like it’s totally normal for the groom and maid of honor to disappear into the honeymoon suite for an hour alone during the wedding,” they said.
